Lynas Rare Earths produces first samarium

Lynas Rare Earths has achieved first production of samarium oxide from its Malaysian facility ahead of schedule, becoming the sole non-Chinese commercial producer of separated heavy rare earth oxides. The company now offers three separated heavy rare earth products and recently signed a four-year supply agreement with the U.S. Department of War.
