TMC pushes US seafloor mining hub amid widening losses

Deep-sea mining company The Metals Company (TMC) reported a wider annual loss for 2025 as it advanced plans for a US-based polymetallic nodule processing hub in Texas. The company is pursuing permits and partnerships to process critical minerals from the Pacific Ocean seabed, including nickel, cobalt, and manganese.
