Indonesia delays windfall taxes on coal, nickel exports

Indonesia is delaying plans to impose windfall taxes on coal and nickel exports originally set for April 1, as the energy and finance ministries continue discussions on technical details. The proposed taxes were aimed at controlling the budget deficit amid rising fuel costs from the Middle East conflict. Indonesia has issued 150 million tons of nickel mining quota so far this year.
