Zimbabwe to introduce lithium export quotas, sets conditions for resumption of shipments

Zimbabwe is resuming lithium exports under new conditions, including export quotas and mandatory local processing commitments. The government will levy a 10% export tax on lithium concentrate until a complete ban takes effect in January 2027, requiring producers to set up lithium sulphate processing plants by that deadline.
