The Iran conflict has elevated antimony's strategic importance for military applications, yet Canada lacks a dedicated strategy to develop its antimony sector from exploration through processing. Despite several early-stage projects and federal critical minerals funding, Canada lags behind the US in supporting antimony development and still has no domestic processing infrastructure for defence-critical metals.
