USA Rare Earth agreed to acquire Brazil's Serra Verde, one of the largest rare-earth producers outside China, in a deal valued at about $2.8 billion. The transaction marks a major push by Washington to secure non-Chinese supply of neodymium, praseodymium and dysprosium for defense and EV magnets.
