China's rare earth magnet exports fall 1.6% in March

China's exports of rare earth magnets in March fell 1.6% year-on-year to 5,238 metric tons, with shipments to the US dropping for a fifth consecutive month down 9.5% from February to a nine-month low of 406 tons. First-quarter exports nonetheless climbed 4.8% year-on-year to 16,001 tons, with Germany, South Korea, Vietnam, the United States and India as top destinations.
