China's Huayou reports first lithium salt exports from Zimbabwe

Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt has shipped Africa's first ever consignment of lithium sulphate from its $400 million Zimbabwe plant, marking a major step in regional mineral beneficiation. The development comes two months after Zimbabwe halted lithium concentrate exports over alleged malpractices, and as Chinese firms continue to consolidate their dominance over the country's lithium mining sector.
