TMC, Allseas strike first seabed nodule mining deal

The Metals Company has signed a commercial agreement with offshore engineering giant Allseas to develop what they say would be the world's first commercial deep-sea nodule recovery system. The deal targets 3 million tonnes annually of polymetallic nodules rich in nickel, cobalt, copper and manganese.
