Japanese trading house Sojitz is exploring rare earth deposits in Southeast Asia, including Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, as Tokyo seeks to reduce its dependence on Chinese supply. The CFO said these regions, geologically connected to southern China, offer promising potential.
