Copper price nears record on China demand, supply worries

Copper prices in London rose another 2% and briefly touched $14,000 per tonne as Chinese demand strengthens and supply-side risks mount. Falling inventories and a robust decade-long demand forecast from a Chinese state trader added fresh fuel to the rally.
