Titan, Teck team up to explore germanium recovery from zinc mine waste

Titan Mining and Teck Resources have partnered to assess the recovery of approximately 13,000 kg/year of germanium from zinc mine waste in the United States. The collaboration aims to bolster domestic supply of the critical mineral, which is dominated by China and is essential for semiconductors and defense applications.
