Sudbury hosts major rare earth project 'in a pizza delivery zone,' CEO says

Volta Metals' Springer project near Sudbury hosts 56.6 million indicated tonnes of total rare earth oxides plus high-grade gallium credits, making it one of the largest rare earth deposits in North America with road, power and First Nations support already in place. CEO Kerem Usenmez says the deposit could rank in the top three rare earth projects in North America as drilling continues toward a PEA later in 2026.
