Nouveau Monde to proceed with G7's biggest graphite mine

Nouveau Monde Graphite shareholders have backed a $645 million financing package, clearing the way for construction of the Matawinie mine in Quebec, set to be the largest graphite mine in the G7. The Phase 2 project will produce around 103,000 tonnes per year of 97% flake graphite, helping reduce Western dependence on China for the battery mineral.
