Eramet partially restarts mineral sands production in Senegal after fire damages

French miner Eramet has partially restarted mineral sands production at its Senegal operation following fire damages, now forecasting output of 300,000-400,000 metric tons of heavy mineral concentrate in 2026, down significantly from 900,000 tons before the fire. The setback impacts global supply of titanium and zirconium minerals.
