US DOE funds MIT drill core tech to speed up critical minerals discovery

The US Department of Energy is funding MIT-developed drill core scanning technology, commercialized by startup Fieldstone, to accelerate the discovery of critical minerals. Under the program, Fieldstone will validate the technology's performance on freshly extracted cores at active exploration sites.
