Greenland rejects Energy Transition Minerals' request for licence renewal

Greenland has rejected an application from Greenland Minerals, a unit of Australia's Energy Transition Minerals, to renew its exploration licence for the Kuannersuit (Kvanefjeld) rare earths project. The government said further exploration was unlikely to yield deposits that could be exploited under the Uranium Act, reflecting the country's 2021 ban on uranium mining.
