Canada, Japan consider critical minerals joint stockpiling in hunt for China alternatives

Canada and Japan are in talks on critical minerals cooperation including joint mining projects, off-take agreements and stockpiling, as Japan moves to reduce dependence on China. Canada's trade minister highlighted graphite and gallium and pointed to the Nouveau Monde Graphite-Panasonic off-take deal as a model, during Canada's largest-ever trade mission to the Asia-Pacific.
