Anglo American and Chile's state-owned Codelco finalized a landmark deal to combine development of their neighbouring Los Bronces and Andina mines, unlocking at least $5 billion in value and adding 2.7 million tonnes of copper over 21 years with minimal new capital. The pact creates a major copper district near Santiago and supports Chile's goal of lifting output to six million tonnes a year by 2030.
