Energy Transition Minerals has secured regional approvals to restart the Penouta mine in Spain's Galicia region, one of Europe's few domestic sources of tin, tantalum and niobium. The company plans to expand its Spanish footprint as it awaits resolution of legal challenges over its rare earths project in Greenland. The approval advances Europe's drive to build local critical-mineral supply and reduce import reliance.
