Lynas, South Korean magnet maker sign deal for Malaysia factory

Lynas Rare Earths signed a partnership with South Korea's JS Link to develop a magnet factory in Kuantan, Malaysia, with an operating capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year of neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent sintered magnets. Lynas will invest about A$50 million in JS Link shares and supply rare-earth materials to the company's factories in Korea and Malaysia until January 2038, feeding automotive, wind energy and electronics supply chains.
